Tim is a key part of the Bioathletic Physiotherapy team who found his interest in sports science from being in and out of the physio with constant injuries from playing school rugby. Tim was more curious after every session and, coupled with a love of sport, admits that there wasn’t any other choice other than becoming a Physiotherapist.
Tim’s philosophy is the old “Give someone a fish and they eat for a day. Teach someone how to fish and they eat for life”. It’s not just about curing pain, but also delivering ways to manage issues and/or bulletproof against re-injury altogether. In particular, he’s got a knack for conditions of the shoulder and spine, and he loves working with rugby, golf and basketball athletes.
Tim is Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified, which means he gets to combine his love of golf with his Physio skills! He offers golf-specific assessments which identify physical impairments linked with adverse swing characteristics and increased risk of injury. And nothing brings him more joy than helping golfers smash their goals and lower their handicap. Find out more about how and why TPI screening works.
Although related to the former Australian test cricketing great Bill O’Reilly, Tim wasn’t able to draw on the genetic advantage to enable a career in cricket. Instead Tim is an avid golfer and spends time in the gym or out for a run.
