Hannah Burke
Sports Massage Therapist
Specialty Areas:
- Myofascial release
- Lower back pain and Sciatica
- Neck pain, headaches and facial massage
- Dry needling
Hannah’s interest in becoming a Sports Massage Therapist was sparked when she got injured during dance training. After seeing first-hand how beneficial hands-on therapy could be, Hannah was inspired to help others experiencing the physical and mental hurdles of overcoming injury and pain.
Through years of experience and study, Hannah developed a specialised interest in Myofascial release, which helps to maintain healthy and mobile connective tissue in the body. She also enjoys helping improve back & neck pain, posture and alignment issues as she knows her work can have a huge impact of the function (and happiness) of clients.
Outside of clinical work, Hannah works at the pointy end of injury. Working as a Sports Therapist and pitch-side First Aider (for teams like our very own Manly Marlins), she sees fresh injuries as they happen. Hannah also works with the Manly Sea Eagles as a Massage Therapist.
There’s also a long list of international teams that Hannah has worked with, and it makes for one mighty impressive list.
Recent Massage Therapist roles:
> New Zealand All Blacks
> New Zealand Men’s Cricket
> Australia Men’s Cricket
> England and New Zealand Netball
> New Zealand Women’s Cricket
> England, Australia and New Zealand Rugby League
Yep, that’s some serious cred!
